Day 113, Sixteenth week – Weight 95.3 kg

The apartment is now sold! Jakob and Caroline are a lovely couple, but it feels a bit nostalgic and sad. There is no way back now, and we’re actually about to move. I haven’t had time to post new menus, but I am continuing on the Max dietician’s model of eating 5 times a day. There are fewer hamburgers in the diet now, but I couldn’t stop myself and had two meals this week. I noticed that Max has started to push its Delifresh meals a bit harder. Well, I might be slightly mad, but hamburgers are still my favourite food. The scales have continued downwards this week and there has been a clear drop in the amount of fat in my body.

Exercise: I have continued to exercise as well. 3 weightlifting sessions and 5 days with 40 minutes walking in the morning. This time, I went a bit easier on the legs during the weightlifting sessions

Day 100, 200 hamburgers, minus 31 kg!

Today is a special day for me. I’ve eaten 200 hamburgers in 100 days and lost 31 kg, and now it’s time to learn from the experience and move on. I will be changing my diet slightly, but still eat healthily and take exercise.I would like to thank all the wonderful people who have supported me – you know who you are. I would also like to thank Max  for their fantastic support and Lise  who has meant so much to me. Naturally, I would also like to mention my wonderful wife, who has supported me through good times and bad.

Here are my tips for losing weight!
1. Adopt a target and a menu – STICK TO IT AND DON’T CHEAT – EVER!
2. Motivation – Who could possibly backtrack on a weight-loss programme if they have nailed their colours to the mast on a website? In my case, it attracted a lot of attention and I’ve had to promise not to go over 100 kg again!
3. The food – Eat something you really like! Forget the algae soup and seaweed stew! I will continue to eat hamburgers, but with a side order of salad, water or milk instead. The difference is that I will now have to start paying for my hamburgers, isn’t that right Alexandra (wink wink).
4. Ask someone for help – A friend, a dietician, a personal trainer. Find a weight-loss pal! I have made lots of new contacts via my site, and these have meant an awful lot to me! Lise, you are a star – better motivation is hard to find!

I WANT TO MAKE A BET THAT I WON’T GAIN WEIGHT AGAIN!
Wink for Betsson, my former employer! Keep minimizeme.se on your site, and of course I will be placing a bet with hamburger-Johan!

Exercise: 40-minute morning walk after breakfast. Exercises for legs and stomach.

Day 99, The fourteenth week (2.0 kg) – 198 hamburgers later -31 kg

must thank my wonderful wife for buying me a set of clothes. She loves shopping – I HATE it. Would rather eat live worms than spend a day shopping at GK. But the new outfit is only the beginning – my whole wardrobe has to be replaced. I now take size 34 jeans instead of 42/44, and size Large sweaters and t-shirts rather than XL.
Tomorrow, I will be eating hamburger no. 200. I won’t close down the blog but will probably write a bit less often, and tomorrow I will be stating my pledges! At least I will be motivated to keep my weight down in the future :)

Exercise: 40-minute morning walk, after breakfast. We’ve had to delay the gym work until today.

Day 98, A day for me and the children

Now I’m almost there. These are pictures from Monday morning. I look completely different from before. I’m actually wearing the same underpants I did on day 1, but now they look large – before the diet they were definitely on the tight side. :) Today, I spent the cosy day with Max and Tilda. We had one viewing and had to do some cleaning and tidying.Exercise: NOBODY dares to refuse to exercise! Well, Lise said that I could have one day off a week, now that I’ve stepped up the programme. But I’m feeling a bit fidgety. :) I’ll have to try that African dance, it’s supposed to be pretty tough. :)

Day 97, Ahh, Saturday!

Great to have a day without a list of things to do. Got up early and took a tour of my mother’s house. Then drove 300 km back home again. Stopped off at Max Hammarbysjöstad and ate one of my last slimburgers – well, a free one anyway. :) What a great staff you have, Ulf. They’re good at their jobs and nice as well. Keep it up, folks!Exercise: Morning walk in Kisa, approx. 30 minutes at a cold -3°C. Moving a load of stuff is enough exercise in itself.

Day 96, Malfeasance by the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Sweden – no thanks!

Sometimes, I absolutely hate the authorities. It really is about time that ordinary citizens were not the ones paying the price! When I bought my last jewel, I had to pay six day’s worth of fees since the car was uninsured, despite the seller having up-to-date insurance for it. To sum up, the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Sweden is there to help individuals who have been injured in an accident involving an uninsured vehicle. A noble cause which somehow has fallen by the wayside. It has now evolved into a government cash-cow which sucks money out of ordinary citizens. I’ve now received a notice from the bailiff, despite having appealed the decision. SIGH!
This link takes you to my letter to the Swedish Road Administration VV. The thing is that the Swedish Road Administration does not register a change of ownership until their computer has scanned the whole transaction, so it could easily have disappeared completely or been lost for 2 months, resulting in fees totalling SEK 6000! You either have to travel to their offices in Örebro and hand over proof of ownership in person, or bear the consequences if proof of ownership is lost. In addition, the ownership document consists of a perforated page with instructions, and another page which you have to complete. I called their switchboard and asked what to do if the instruction part was missing, but they gave me the WRONG information. No-one can be bothered to argue with them about a few hundred Swedish kronor, and so the swindle continues – no thanks!Packed all my mother’s things and drove the removal van down to Kisa. Great house – I hope you’ll be very happy there, mum!

And yes, I have now lost 30 KG! :)

Exercise: 40 minute morning walk. Fitness training consisting of warm-up on the rowing machine, followed by stomach and leg exercises.

Day 95, Sveriges Radio / Värmland

My turn with Tilda today. My mother came for a visit, and the children loved it. I was on Sveriges Radio Värmland this morning at 07.15. It was very important not to mention Max, since advertising is not permitted, but I felt that mentioning the blog was OK.
By the way, now I’m also featuring on Max’s website :)

Exercise: 40 minute morning walk before breakfast. SORE MUSCLES TODAY, as well. Thanks a bunch, Lise! :)   I should have visited the gym for some leg-strengthening exercises today, but it will have to be tomorrow instead. You can compare me with the drunks in the Swedish films, Sällskapsresan, invalido. :)

Day 94, Moving mother and new exercise regime….

Well, I’ve run out of excuses. Lise has now started to subject me to some serious torture. Weight-training 4 times per week – today, the back was put through it’s paces and some. Can now look forward to some really sore muscles tomorrow. :) I’ve promised my mother to give her a hand with moving house on Friday/Saturday. She is leaving Stockholm for Kisa, where she was born and brought up. Naturally, the vehicle we have borrowed is not in Stockholm, so all I can do is get myself together and drive 500 km tonight.Do you want to know what I sound like? Sveriges Radio (the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation) contacted me today and wants to interview me tomorrow morning at 07.15. :)

Exercise: 40 minute morning walk. Fitness training with Lise,  warm-up on the rowing machine, and then back-strengthening exercises.

Day 93, Aftonbladet and Stockholm City newspapers

Yesterday was rather busy, and I didn’t want to write about the Aftonbladet and Stockholm City newpapers until today. They have printed big articles about “little” me. Take a look at the article from Aftonbladet. The City article is also on the Internet :)
Uncle Ove also called to tell me that more has been written about me on channel 5’s text-TV page 115.
All this attention is great – I’ll see you at the ice hockey, Ove. Give Gittan my regards! :)

Exercise: Morning walk 2 x 40 minutes before breakfast. SORE MUSCLES TODAY, thanks Lise! :)

Day 92, Thirteenth week (-0.4kg) – 184 hamburgers and -29 kg later

Gosh, I really look different! The boss invited us to the Centralbadet swimming pool today, and I’m here with my mobile broadband. How did we ever cope without it? For the first time, I haven’t shed a lot of weight, but I’m still happy since the scales tell me that the fat is still dropping off and the muscle mass is increasing. Otherwise, it would have been a bit depressing. I can’t really complain: -29 cm around the waist and between 12 and 15 cm around the thighs. I bought a new pair of trousers less than a month ago, and now I need a belt to keep them up. :)

Exercise: 40-minute morning walk, before breakfast. 1 hour’s weight training with Lise. Now I’m really going to get into shape!
